About Us

At ABA in the Bay, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. We provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism in the environments where they learn and grow best—at home, in the community, and in school. Our goal is simple: to support meaningful progress that lasts a lifetime.

We work closely with families to create personalized treatment plans that prioritize functional communication, reduce problem behaviors, and encourage independence. Our sessions are child-led, assent-based, and rooted in respect for each individual’s pace and preferences.

Families choose us because we’re not a large, impersonal agency. We’re a small, BCBA-owned practice built on relationships, communication, and trust. With no waitlist and direct access to our founder, you can expect transparency, flexibility, and genuine care from the very start.

Meet The Founder

Cecilia Padilla, M.A., BCBA

I’ve been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for over 9 years, and I truly love what I do. My journey started as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), then I became a BCaBA, and eventually earned my master’s degree to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Going through each of those roles has given me a strong foundation and a real appreciation for every part of the therapeutic process.

I started ABA in the Bay here in Tampa, Florida, with the goal of offering high-quality, compassionate ABA services that reflect the needs and values of the families we serve. I’m bilingual—fluent in English and Spanish—and have had the privilege of working with families from many different cultural backgrounds. I know how important it is to meet families where they are and to create plans that feel meaningful and doable in real life.

I’m passionate about helping children build skills that support independence and joy, while also making sure parents feel supported and confident every step of the way.

When we work together, you’ll have a direct line to me. I’ll be there to guide you, celebrate progress with you, and adjust your child’s plan as their needs evolve. Because your child’s success isn’t just a goal—it’s a shared journey.

Our Approach

Compassionate, Personalized ABA—Rooted in Real Life

Our approach is guided by a simple but powerful belief: every child is unique, and therapy should honor that. We meet your child where they are—developmentally, emotionally, and physically—and support growth at their pace in ways that feel safe, joyful, and meaningful.

We combine the science of ABA with deep respect for your child’s voice, your family’s values, and the everyday moments that matter most.

Families choose us because we’re not a large, impersonal agency. We’re a small, BCBA-owned practice built on relationships, communication, and trust. With no waitlist and direct access to our founder, you can expect transparency, flexibility, and genuine care from the very start.

Collaboration with Families

As the expert on your child, you play an integral role in their therapy. We work closely with families to ensure open communication and provide training that empowers you to support your child’s growth at home and in everyday life.

Trust Built With Respect

Our approach is built on respect and trust. By always checking for your child’s consent and following their lead, we create a space where they feel safe, heard, and ready to engage. This foundation is key to their success and development.

Family Oriented Environment

We believe that families are essential partners in the therapy process. Through open communication and shared decision-making, we provide personalized support that considers your child’s individual needs while strengthening family bonds throughout the
